SEAGARS BY THE SEA TO BENEFIT HOMES FOR OUR TROOPS

Benefit Cigar Smoker Will Raise $10,000 To Build New Homes For Severely Disabled Veterans

Portland, ME,  May 26th, 2009:  On Sunday, September 27th, cigar retailers of Maine will present Seagars by the Sea, a benefit cigar smoker outside at DiMillo’s Floating Restaurant, with all proceeds donated to Homes For Our Troops, www.homesforourtroops.org, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The charity builds specially adapted homes for severely disabled service men and women.

To date 30,000 soldiers have been injured in Iraq and Afghanistan. The need is great, but $10,000 makes a tremendous difference! This will be the first fundraiser for Homes For Our Troops in the state of Maine. “Maine has many veterans,” says Jacques de Villier, a US Air Force veteran and owner of the Old Port Wine Shop. He and Eric Drzewianowski, whose brother is currently deployed to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan say Seagars By The Sea is an opportunity to help those who have given so much for their country, while creating a positive social event.

Seagars by the Sea welcomes cigar novices and cigar lovers for a casual seaside benefit sponsored by cigar retailers of Maine and some of the finest cigar makers from around the world
